As many of you read from last week’s bargaining committee updates, we’re already demonstrating the strength of our union as we pressure the JHU administration to negotiate on our proposals. The only way we will continue to move them to accept our proposals is by staying engaged and ready to mobilize to show them we cannot accept less than what we deserve! In order to help facilitate moving JHU at the table, our bargaining committee is soliciting testimonials from grad workers, particularly those who have experience with JHU’s current discrimination/harassment or related procedures, grievance procedures, or international student support. If you or a colleague would be able to testify on one or more of the above topics, please fill out the form as soon as possible!

Has this display of our strength gotten you interested in helping us build even more power to win at the bargaining table? Join us on Wednesday, May 24th at 5PM for an organizing conversations training. This training will teach you how to have conversations about the bargaining process, answer questions your coworkers have, and move people to action to fight for a fair contract! RSVP to Andrew if you can attend.

Want to support our ability to organize, but don’t have a lot of time? You can now sign up for voluntary, recurring dues! Becoming a recurring donor allows us to plan our events more consistently and spend less time raising funds and more time building power! Sign up here: https://donorbox.org/tru-ue. One-time donations are also available!

Solidarity,
