Our contract entitles us to take paid leave during regular business days/hours for a variety of reasons.
- At least 15 days of vacation time per year (your supervisor may allow you to take more)
- 15 days of sick leave per year with an additional 5 days per dependent
- 5 days of bereavement leave per year with 1 additional day if international travel is needed
- Miscellaneous leaves for jury duty and legal proceedings, leaves of absence, military leave, professional development, and union-related activities.
- 14 days visa leave for international employees to maintain visa and immigration status
- 8 weeks of parental leave following birth or adoption, with 4 additional weeks of leave for parents who have just given birth
